I am reaching out to share the Department of Education’s community and workforce needs assessment related to the Early Childhood Assistance Program (ECAP) as required by Section 376 of the Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Operating Budget Act (SB 250).

Thank you for the opportunity to share this information on our state’s capacity for expanding our state-funded preschool program.

We also sent this study to the Governor’s Office and our House and Senate Committee Chairs. This information coupled with the data from our HS 1 for HB 377 Early Childhood Workforce Study Phase I Report will be shared in a special meeting hosted by the Delaware Early Childhood Council. We will send this group an invitation when the meeting has been scheduled.
