License Exempt Summer Camp Providers/POC

Beginning on June 15, 2020 with Phase II of the state’s re-opening plan, Summer Camps may begin operating. Please refer to your POC summer camp packet for a checklist of requirements for participation in the POC program.

Any staff members who took the required health and safety training last year will only need to take the refresher training. You will be able to access the refresher course on The Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood website at https://dieecpd.org/ beginning June 9th.

All new staff members, will need to complete all required health and safety trainings that are on the check list in your packet. These trainings can be accessed on the Delaware PD Now website at https://depdnow.com/ or The Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood website at  https://dieecpd.org/.

Also, at least one member of your staff must be certified to administer medication and must be on site at all times during operating hours. You can access this training on the American Academy of Pediatrics website at, https://shop.aap.org/medication-administration-in-early-care-and-education-settings/.

Please note that the content provided in these trainings does not reflect the additional health and safety requirements as set forth by the Department of Public Health due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We strongly encourage you to continue to consult with the POC team and other state resources, such as the COVID-19 State Website, for the most up-to-date information.
