MEMORANDUM: Rate Increase Notification

RE: Rate Increase for July 1, 2022
Dear Child Care Subsidy Providers,
On behalf of the Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Social Services, Purchase of Care (POC) team, we are forwarding this correspondence to advise you that effective July 1, 2022, the POC Reimbursement rates will increase to 85% of the 75th Percentile. Please see the attached for the new reimbursement rates. Please note these rates are contingent on the Governor signing the budget passed by the legislature on June 23rd.
The new rates will not be reflected in the system until July or early August, but providers will be reimbursed at the new rates for July.
At this time, over 500 providers have program rates entered in our system that are lower than the new POC rates. If you wish to change or update your rates, you will need to log into Provider Self Service and update your Program Overview with your new rates. This must be completed prior to July 13, 2022. To receive the full POC rates, provider’s rates must be equal to or greater than the POC rates. Providers whose program rates are lower than the POC rates are paid at their program rate. If you do not change your rates by July 13th, you will be reimbursed at the lower rates.
POC Plus providers, please use the new rate when calculating your POC Plus fees. If the new POC rates are greater than your program rates, families should not be charged a POC Plus fee.
